Beef Stroganoff
Made With Condensed Mushroom Soup
A crowd pleasing classic, this deliciously creamy beef stroganoff recipe is a sure way to impress hungry friends and family
Ingredients
- 450g diced sirloin steak
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 1 can of Campbell's Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 120ml water
- 60ml (4tbsp) dry sherry (optional)
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- Cooked rice or pasta
- Chopped fresh parsley
Method
Step 1
Season the beef with the black pepper.Step 2
Heat the oil over a medium heat.Step 3
Add the beef to the pan and cook until browned.Step 4
Set the cooked beef to one side and drain off the fat from the pan.Step 5
Reduce the heat and cook the onion until tender. Stir in the soup, water, sherry (optional) and tomato puree then bring to the boil.Step 6
Return the beef to the pan and heat until cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.Step 7
Serve the beef stroganoff over the rice or pasta, sprinkle with parsley and serve.
