Mums are incredibly busy people, so the best thing you can give your mum on Mother’s Day is time. Time to sit back and relax, maybe with a coffee and book, to enjoy some peace and quiet.
There are tonnes of things you can do to help your mum out and free her up some time. Whether it’s helping out around the house, cooking her dinner or making her breakfast in bed, just make sure you’re prepared and get stuck in to making sure her day is chilled out.
Here’s a checklist of some of the things you can do for your mum this Mother’s Day…
- Buy/make her a card
- Purchase flowers (not from the petrol station!)
- Get a box of posh chocolates
- Hoover the house
- Do the laundry
- Clean the bathrooms
- Do the weekly shop
- Buy the ingredients you’ll need for the fantastic meal you’re cooking
- OR make a reservation for a table at her favourite restaurant
- Put on mums’ favourite music
- Make breakfast in bed
- Make multiple cups of tea/coffee throughout the day (preferably served with biscuits!)
- Entertain any young kids to give mum a few hours’ peace
- Wash up after all meals
- Watch her favourite film together in the evening
These are just a few of the things you can do to help out your mum this Mother’s Day. But let’s be honest, mum will just appreciate it if she sees you making an effort to help her out!
